Symposium Information
Proceedings
Each participant will be given a bound paper copy of the Proceedings and a copy on CD on the first day of the Symposium.
Unofficial paper copies will also be available at the Symposium.
Language
The working language will be English.
Symposium Fee
The registration fee (including cocktail reception and symposium dinner but excluding travel,
accommodation and other expenses) is £300 + VAT (17.5%). It includes access to all presentations,
poster and exhibition area, proceedings, lunches, coffee breaks, cocktail reception, symposium
dinner, buses to and from the industrial visits and buses to and from the Symposium dinner, which will be held
at St. George's Hall.
VAT at 17.5% is payable by all delegates, irrespective of their nationality. Delegates or their
companies registered with the UK Customs and Excise for VAT may reclaim the VAT through their normal
channels.
Registration
Authors, exhibitors and participants are requested to register on-line as early as possible to assist with the
co-ordination of the symposium. This site will be open for registration early in 2007.
Registration can be made on Tuesday 18th September from 17:00 to 19:00 or from 08:30 at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel on each day of the conference.
Delegates who register for ESMATS 2007 via this website prior to the Symposium will be given a password with their
receipt that will give them access to special hotel rates being offered on-line via the Mersey
Partnership web site.
Catering
Lunch will be a buffet served in the area next to the Auditorium. Coffee breaks will be held in
the poster and exhibition area.
Poster Display Space
Posters will be displayed throughout the three days of the Symposium. Poster sessions are planned during
the coffee beaks, and there will be a special session during the cocktail reception to stimulate discussion
and exchanges between participants. Authors of poster presentations will have the possibility to set up
their posters on the afternoon before the Symposium and on the morning of the first day of the Symposium.
Maximum dimensions: Height 1.1 m, width 0.8 m.
Exhibition Space
Throughout the duration of the Symposium there will be a range of exhibition stands. Delegates who wish to exhibit
should reserve their stand via this website as soon as possible as exhibition space is limited.
